About the event

Morgan Explores is a new group driving tour in partnership with the Morgan Motor Company. The inaugural Morgan Explores driving adventure, ‘Pyrenees Pursuit’, celebrates Morgan’s 115th year, piecing together stunning roads with beautiful backdrops throughout Northern Spain and the South of France.

Morgan Explores will start on Tuesday 24th September in Northern Spain – ideal for any of our British participants with excellent ferry links from the UK and being fully accessible from mainland Europe. The bespoke route will guide you and your Morgan through a variety of landscapes.

Take your pick of a rally-style tulip roadbook, a good old-fashioned map, or a modern digital route to guide your Pyrenees pursuit. You couldn’t ask for better company for your journey, surrounded by fellow Morgan enthusiasts and adventure seekers. While much of the journey will be comfortable cruising, savvy navigation and driving skill will be needed to master the elevation changes and the occasional challenging terrain is sure to delight the thrill-seekers.

Each day includes breakfast, lunch, an evening meal, as well as opportunities to visit points of interest along the way. The overnight accommodations are chosen for their characterful and comfortable luxury, with plenty of time to enjoy premier hospitality and relax each day.

You’ll be in great hands on this fully hosted tour, with the organisational team one step-ahead to ensure the driving route is clear, the venues are ready to welcome you, that your luggage awaits at the hotel, and that you'll leave with plenty of pictures and video to make your friends envious of your adventure. A mechanical support crew will also follow the route and remain on-hand to provide road-side assistance or technical support, should the need arise.

Day 2 - 3

Day three sees our procession of Morgans climbing, twisting and turning through Pyrenees mountain passes – a true adventure with some of the most scenic driving Europe has to offer. A tour highlight will no doubt be our visit to Pic du Midi, the Pyrenees natural balcony, which we will reach by cable car across the peaks. Finally, we retreat to a charming rural farm that will be our home for the night, offering a unique connection to French rural life and authentic local French cuisine with ingredients sourced directly from the farm and surrounding areas.

Day 4

The overnight accommodations have been chosen for their characterful and comfortably luxury, with plenty of time to enjoy exceptional hospitality and relax at the end of each day. The media team will make sure you leave with plenty of pictures to make your friends envious of your Morgan adventure.

Day 3 - 4

The adventure continues as your Morgan gracefully navigates the wide open winding ribbons of French roads, on route to the private members club at Chateau de Sermet, Club des Autos. This beautifully restored 14th century Château boasts a 34-metre tower and 140 acres of uninterrupted views of the Dordogne French countryside providing the perfect backdrop for our picnic lunch with the cars. Another chance to rest our wheels for a special boating experience as we explore the river Lot in the Dordogne. We’ll pass through some of the most beautiful villages in France before arriving for final night celebrations at an elegant 19th century 5 star hotel in the heart of Périgord.

Day 1 - 2

Our tour continues meandering through picture-perfect landscapes with rugged peaks and lush valleys stretching out ahead. We will head for the heart of the Rioja region, a wine connoisseurs paradise, for an indulgent lunch inspired by the local flavours of Rioja, celebrating regional culinary traditions offering a true taste of Spain's gastronomic heritage. An extra special treat awaits us on day two when we pay a visit to the Circuito de Navarra for a parade lap of the circuit in formation. Yet another wonderfully unique stay in a historic international railway station - one of Spain’s industrial architectural jewels now converted into a five star sanctuary.

Day 1

Our journey begins in a converted sixteenth century palace nestled in a coastal town in Northern Spain. We briefly brush along the fringes of the Cantabrian coastline before heading for the Picos de Europa. There will be no shortage of breath-taking vistas as well as a diverse mix of flora and fauna. Descending our mountain excursion, we travel to the historic city of Burgos where we will spend the night in a 14th century gothic style hotel. This architectural gem offers a luxurious stay as well as immersing guests in the city’s medieval ambience.
