Vehicle Eligibility & Roadside Assistance:

Vehicle eligibility is specific to each event. The organisers will review entry application forms and notify the entrants if a vehicle is deemed ineligible or otherwise unsuitable for an event. If the vehicle is deemed ineligible and a suitable replacement cannot be secured, the deposit will be refunded. Vehicles modifications should be kept to a minimum and should be submitted to the organisers for approval if you are unsure. The responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure the car has been serviced and properly prepared to take part in the event, considering factors such as the duration, mileage, elevation, and terrain specific to the route. A mechanical support team will follow the route and will endeavour to provide roadside assistance to crews in need. The mechanical support team will have the tools needed to carry out simple repairs but will not attempt to fix more significant issues or those which appear to have been present prior to the start of the event. The support team are qualified mechanics or engineers but cannot be held responsible for any damage or mechanical failure whether directly or indirectly relating to a repair they have made. External mechanical support teams are permitted and encouraged if participants are concerned over the reliability of their vehicle or if their vehicle requires specialised care.

A more comprehensive roadside assistance subscription with vehicle recovery is highly recommended for all crews. The on-event crew may not be equipped to recover your vehicle in the event of a break-down.
