Day 0 - 2

Our journey begins in the rolling hills of Tuscany, where we gather for a welcome dinner and raise a glass to the adventure ahead.

We start with a visit to the historic Castello di Brolio, before taking the winding roads through the Val d’Orcia, a landscape of timeless beauty. In a region celebrated for its culinary heritage, we pause at a local farm to sample the area’s renowned Pecorino cheese.
The day ends with an overnight stay in a centuries-old castle nestled in the medieval village of Castiglioncello del Trinoro.

We then travel East toward the enchanting hamlet of Solomeo, home to the iconic Brunello Cucinelli and his remarkable vision of craftsmanship and culture.
From here, the drive becomes ever more dramatic as we ascend into the Apennines, tackling the legendary “Little Tibet”, a high-altitude plateau offering sweeping vistas and exhilarating roads as the day draws to a close.
Our day ends in the extraordinary village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a beautifully preserved fortified medieval settlement nestled within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, where we stay overnight.

Venturing deeper into the heart of Abruzzo, we pass through the characterful villages of Secinaro, Cocullo, and Scanno, each offering a glimpse into a quieter, more authentic Italy. We then climb towards the sweeping curves of Passo Godi, where the roads open out into dramatic mountain scenery, delivering a drive that is as exhilarating as it is beautiful.
Descending South, we arrive at our next retreat near Caserta, set in the heart of the Sannio region.

Day 3 - 6

Our journey continues towards the remarkable Paestum Archaeological Site, widely regarded as home to the finest preserved Greek temples in Italy and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we pause to take in the grandeur of antiquity.
That evening, we arrive on the Cilento Coast, within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, where our overnight stay offers sweeping views toward the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri.

It would not be a journey through Italy without indulging in its culinary heritage, and in Campania, that means fresh Mozzarella di Bufala, enjoyed at its very source.
From here, the route winds through the rugged landscapes of Basilicata. We pause for lunch in the dramatic mountain village of Castelmezzano, set amidst the striking peaks of the Lucanian Dolomites.

After refuelling, we reach the extraordinary city of Matera. Famed for its ancient “Sassi” cave dwellings, Matera offers an unforgettable overnight stay steeped in history and atmosphere. Known as one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited settlements, it has transformed from a site of poverty in the 1950s into a bustling cultural hub with nearly 60,000 residents today.

Continuing East, we visit Alberobello, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its iconic Trulli houses, some of which date back to the mid-14th century.

Our Italian journey concludes in Brindisi, where we board our overnight crossing to Greece, carrying with us the memories of an unforgettable drive through some of Italy’s most captivating landscapes.

Day 7 - 9

We arrive in Igoumenitsa to begin our Greek adventure, in the mountainous landscapes of Epirus. Our route leads us to Ioannina, before continuing to Metsovo for our overnight stay, a picturesque mountain village known for its traditional character and warm hospitality.

The following day brings one of Greece’s most awe-inspiring sights, Meteora, where ancient monasteries perch dramatically on towering rock formations. Here, we take a break from the mountain roads with an exclusive driving experience at the Meteora Raceway.

As we journey onward, we arrive just outside Delphi for an overnight stay. Once considered the centre of the ancient world, Delphi carries a profound sense of history and mythology. The next morning, we explore the site with a guided visit, uncovering the stories and significance of one of Greece’s most important archaeological treasures.

Continuing South, we cross the striking Rio–Antirrio Bridge, spanning the waters of the Gulf of Patras, before stopping for lunch.
That evening, we arrive at a truly unique retreat on the western Peloponnese, a former post-war winery, thoughtfully transformed into a conscious luxury resort. Set along the coastline, it offers a refined, tranquil setting to unwind, with sweeping sea views.

Day 10 - 11

As our journey continues, we arrive at Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, where ancient history and myth intertwine among the ruins of this sacred sanctuary.

From here, we travel to Kalamata to experience the rich flavours of Greece. A private visit to a local olive estate offers an authentic insight into traditional production, followed by a relaxed lunch set among the groves.

Our evening brings us to a refined wellness retreat in Mystras, set within its own private forest. Renowned as one of Europe’s leading destinations for integrative health, vitality, and longevity, it provides a deeply restorative overnight stay.

The following day, we step back into antiquity with a visit to Mycenae, one of Greece’s most significant archaeological sites, once home to the kingdom of Agamemnon.
Venturing further into the Peloponnese, we continue to Nemea, a region celebrated for its exceptional wines, before arriving at a historic mountain retreat on Mount Mainalo.

Day 12

For our final day, we begin with a visit to the remarkable Kapsia Cave, one of Greece’s most impressive cave systems, before continuing to the elegant coastal town of Nafplion, once the capital of Greece.

From here, we drive to the port of Kosta, where a short crossing takes us to the island of Spetses. A destination renowned for its unique character, Spetses is historically car-free, however, special permission has been granted for our group to bring our cars onto the island, making for a truly rare and memorable arrival.

Final night celebrations unfold on this enchanting island, celebrated for its heritage, elegance, and effortless sense of escape. Steeped in maritime history and adorned with beautifully preserved 19th-century architecture, Spetses offers a refined yet authentic Greek island experience.

Once a powerful centre of Greek naval activity, the island retains its timeless charm. Horse-drawn carriages line the waterfront, pine-fringed bays invite exploration, and grand neoclassical mansions stand as a testament to its storied past.

As the journey draws to a close, this idyllic setting provides a fitting end to an unforgettable drive through the heart of the Mediterranean.
